Stained glass is made with materials containing lead (solder and came). There is a very minimal risk with these products unless ingested or inhaled. As a precaution, wash your hands after handling your piece.
Use a hook, screw or other hardware that can be secured into a wall or window frame to hang your piece. 3M Command Hooks are available in clear and can be used directly on your window. Just be sure that you purchase the proper weight limit. Command™ Clear Hooks | 3M Canada
Suction cups are not recommended, but may be ok for smaller pieces. Do a monthly check on your suction cups to make sure they are holding well.
Oxidization naturally occurs to lead overtime. Your new piece has been polished to slow this process. If desired, car polish with a microfiber cloth can be used on the metal to regain its luster.
Never use cleaners that are acid based or have ammonia, such as Windex, as they will weaken the solder/came that is holding the piece together.
